oftentimes we let the fear of failure, rejection, judgement, insecurity, or whatever other excuse we can come up with to not do something we want to do. i say fuck that. and i’ve been saying fuck that for most all my life. life is meant for one thing. to be LIVED. so when npr came up with the tiny desk contest a decade ago, i entered. why? because why not. i say put yourself out there into the world. be your freaky ass self. get fearless on the regular. life is fucking short. and who gives a damn what anyone thinks about you. or your art. or your life. it’s yours to live. so do it with courage, integrity, passion, humility, joy, love and a total commitment to your dreams. that way, no matter what comes to pass, you can look back with a sparkle in your soul and a peacefulness in your heart. here are some of my tiny desk contest entries. enjoy!
